I thought I’d share a few of the things on my desk that help me get through the day in a productive way! Sometimes. Shhh.
- I use this Muji checklist to write my daily to-do list.
- A Silvine notepad to jot down my notes – I have one for each of my projects & clients.
- I keep a notebook and print outs for each project & client in dedicated brown peel & seal envelope. I take the envelope from my drawer and put it on my desk when I’m working on related tasks. I’ve just started doing this and I’m finding it a great way to keep things manageable and organised. See this &Kathleen post for the inspiration.
- I like coloured pens to write my to do list and project notes.
- This candle from Anthropologie was an indulgence (I know, I’m out of control) and has the most beautiful tropical smell. I light it when I’m working.

I’ve got your manifesto in a frame, a “toaster” rack of coloured folders from kikki K and a Kit Cosmetic “coffee” scented candle burning.

Love the candle idea. I’ve never really had much use for candles but like the thought of it being lit while I work.

On my desk at work I have lots of cobalt blue glass things that I bought separately (and cheaply) over the years, that together but make a good set, including a BG wine bottle that I use for drinking water, along with a drinking glass, clear with BG around the top, kept on a blue metallic drinks tray (that one of the boys brought back from the pub years ago), BG bowl and sideplate for food, 2 tall thin BG vases for a rose or 2 in each, a couple of small BG bowls with paper clips and pins, a small BG cup for pens, another for highlighters, a big BG coffee mug.

I always have a candle burning while I work – current fav is Palm Beach Collection Patchouli and Musk. I also have a cute little nest and ceramic egg inside (how appropriate) and a gorgeous piece of finger coral to pretty up my desk!

My matte black retro phone, love it and it reminds me of when I was young and life was simple, Glasshouse Mimosa & Wild Apple candle that is always lit whilst I work, three gorgeous glass dome bird paperweights, a beautiful black ceramic pot with a White Bergonia pot plant…lots of sunshine streaming through the French Doors, Adele playing in the background ! Did I tell you I love my office…
