My husband’s got some time off next week so we thought we’d take a little trip to Prague.
We haven’t been there before. Have you? Any tips you’d like to share I’d love to hear them!

Prague is great – amazing puppet stores and great to just walk around – tips – bread dumplings – interesting…
If you get the chance – see if you can visit Carlsbad – also known as Karlovy-vary.

Thanks Marie! We’re only staying for 3 nights so not sure if we’d make it out there but it looks amazing.

Try some Kofola. It’s the Czech version of coke. You can probably only find it in the bottle in Prague but in smaller towns you can get it on tap at the bars. I’m not a coke drinker but I fell in love with it. I brought home a few bottles as a souvenir. It’s less sweet and has a spicier flavor.

Hi Clare,
Lucky you! Prague is a gorgeous city. You could take a guided walking tour, if you’re interested in learning about the city’s history. St Vitus Cathedral is stunning and well worth a visit. One spot my friends and I loved (and found by accident) was a restaurant in the Old Town Square opposite the Astronomical Clock. If the weather is good, eat (and drink!!) on the rooftop and enjoy the fantastic views. Now, it was called either Hotel Savic or U Orloje…sorry it was some time ago!
Enjoy your mini-break.

Hi Clare, You will love Prague. It was my favourite place in Europe. The old town is breathtakingly beautiful. My tip: agree on your taxi fare with the driver before you get in. Look for the “fair taxi” ranks. Have an awesome stay, Caylie

Hi Clare – I just spent a week in Prague in August with my bf and loved the city so much. Best tip I have is to go down the side streets away from the touristy centres for meals – they are usually cheaper and the service is really quick. Try the Pilsner Urquel and Kozel for beers, they are delish! Also, New Europe offers daily free walking tours of the popular tourist sights. We walked everywhere – very easy to walk from Old Town to the Castle in about 30 minutes…we took the best pics of Charles Bridge and Prague castle at dusk from the Manes Bridge. Have lots of fun!!

It’s been a while since I was there but I loved Prague. It’s like walking through a fairytale in the Old Town.
We were there in Summer and it gets seriously busy but one morning we woke up really early and decided to go for a walk. We had Charles Bridge entirely to ourselves and it was spectacular. We went back again at midday and you can hardly see the bridge for people.
I’d also recommend carrying cash as we found several restaurants and bars didn’t accept cards.
Have fun!
