Sometimes I forget that I’ve been doing this online business caper for 10 years.
I forget that the fact it takes me 5 minutes to change the dns on a domain, install a wordpress blog, customise the theme and have it live within a few hours is not normal.
This question by Tanya Williams on our Linkedin group stopped me in my tracks and I thought, what a great question.
So I’m asking this question here too.
What is the biggest challenge you face to build your business brand online? Is it understanding the technology? Finding service providers? Or something else? Love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

oh man, we talk about this all the time. my fiance and i work together and between my writing and his design clients, we don’t have any time or energy left to dedicate to building our brand. every time we sit down to rebrand and work on our own site, we get another client and it takes all of our time for a while.

Understanding the technology and marketing. Not very good at any of them but I am learning as fast as I can.

As a start-up I think my greatest challenge is finding the time. Thankfully due to my background, I can handle all that DNS and wordpress stuff! But in between juggling the 9 to 5 job and the desire to be in one’s own business, there’s a lot to take on (especially when minimal costs mean you’re a one woman show in the beginning) and I would love to be able to add hours to the day!
