Helping women in business & female entrepreneurs use the internet for business | Signup | Login | Log out |
My goal is to empower business owners to use the internet for business - helping women in particular achieve their personal goals and change their world.
Clare Lancaster is an online business consultant, writer and the editor of womeninbusiness.com.au.
Her interests include living an authentic life, teaching about online business in an accessible way, watching people dream big dreams and making them happen.
She has worked online since 2001, is a regular columnist for Nett Magazine, the owner of several online businesses and was recently recommended as 1 of 30 women entrepreneurs to follow on Twitter by Forbes.
Clare lives in Brisbane, Australia.
Hi, my name is Clare Lancaster and I'm the owner and editor of womeninbusiness.com.au.
As a small business owner myself, I know that the support of like-minded people helps propel our achievements and encourages us to reach for great heights. I also know that education = empowerment and all businesses need promotion. I wanted to create a place where women in business and female entrepreneurs could enjoy all of these things.
I’ve always been fascinated by business and I believe in the idea that you can earning a living by following your passions. Of course, that involves hard work, dedication and commitment to doing whatever that is really, really well.
I’ve been working on the internet since 2001 - in full time employment. I always knew that I would own my own business one day so I spent my time working for the man collecting observations and learning from other people's successes and failures.
In late 2008 I decided the time was right and launched my own consultancy - Dot Marketing - focusing on online strategy and online marketing for small business.
I strongly believe that women should define what success means to them and find their own path to achieving it. In a way that encourages living your life where work is not a separate channel but an extension of who you are – be that as a business owner or as an employee.
Life’s too short to live only after 9-5pm and on weekends so how ever you choose to earn your living make sure it makes you happy, reflects who you are and uses your power for good. If it doesn't right now - you can always change it.
With a background based in online business and marketing I want to use this site to encourage women to use the internet in their business.
Whether you're running a business that operates solely online or you want to know how the internet can improve/promote/grow your business - this is the place to be.
